Durham Organics offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee for the quality of our produce and the accurate packing of your delivery. If you’re not completely satisfied with a produce item, or find a produce or grocery item missing from your order, we will gladly credit or replace the item. We may substitute if an item is out of stock, it will be the same or greater value than item that it is being substituted for.

Free Delivery

At this time we offer free Delivery in Durham Region to;
Oshawa, Whitby, Brooklin, Ajax, Courtice and Bowmanville (There are a few areas unserviced so please email us your postal code if you would like to know if you are in our service area).

Account Changes

To take effect for your next delivery, any changes to your order or account including suspensions or cancellations must be made by 7 am Monday to take effect for that current week.

Billing

All accounts must be paid in full each week either at the door, through e-transfer or paid ahead.

For the First Delivery please leave payment in an envelope taped to door, under mat or in mailbox, just let us know where you will be leaving it. After the first delivery, payment can be left in your empty bin on delivery day. Simple !

1.5% per month service charge on Overdue Accounts (18% per annum)

Availability

We reserve the right to make last minute substitutions to weekly produce items not selected directly by you as a Recurring Item or other purchase to rectify quality, portion or availability issues in your produce order. Organic produce has a very limited shelf life so out of stocks or poor quality are a normal occurrence and are rectified by ordering other items to replace.

Delivery

Your Organic Deliveries are on

Tuesday for Oshawa Courtice, Bowmanville and Brooklin between 4:30 pm-9:30 pm.

Wednesday for Whitby and Ajax between 4:30-9:30

In the event that you’re not home to receive your order, we’ll follow the delivery instructions you gave us when you created your account.

In the event your driver encounters unforeseen circumstances such as unsafe conditions due to unsecured animals or unsafe terrain, we will contact you for alternate delivery instructions and/or to advise you of the alternate delivery location.

If you will not be able to accept deliveries at your delivery address at any point between the hours of

4:30pm-9:30 pm we will require an alternate, secured location at the same address at which to leave your delivery (leave on front step, side door etc)

If we do not have an alternate location in which to leave your delivery, we will bring your delivery back to our warehouse where it will be available for you to pick up the following day, and your account will be charged for the order.

Bin deposit

When you sign up there will be a $20 refundable deposit for the bins used. This ensures that we get back our bins weekly and that we do not need to stock an unnecessary amount of bins. We use Rubbermaid bins as that is the most environmentally responsible method. They are created from recycled plastic, may be used hundreds of times, durable, watertight and will recycled at the end of their life cycle.
Your account will be credited when you no longer use our service. You must notify us before your last order and we will pack your order in a sturdy cardboard box and return your deposit. There is a $5 fee if we are required to pick up bins at the end of service without and accompaning order.

Bin return

Customers are requested to return their clean, empty bins for reuse by leaving them in their delivery location by 4:30pm on their delivery day.
If you forget to put out your bins then just make sure that the following week they are all put out. If our bins are not returned when we deliver your next order at that time, you will be charged $10 per outstanding bin.
